Introduction
The mass media surrounds us with the daily dirge of drowning markets, festering unemployment, and signs that the economy of the United States has been turned on top of itself. Statistics pile as fast as foreclosures, and Americans have watched in horror as the bubble of prosperity we rode for so long – the seemingly sure guarantee that every hard-working person could afford a middle-class, middle-income lifestyle – is finally appearing to burst.
We at PolitiVote are not saying that these economic problems do not exist. We also are not saying that these hard-working reporters and editors are not simply doing their journalistic duty to expose corruption and “tell it like it is.” But we do ask the question – when was the last time this group of nay-sayers offered any solutions? Any hope? These types of feelings are not quite as easy to engender, and perhaps mass media is not the outlet for such a positive discussion.
Here, we’d like to outline such a message – a message of faith in America and faith in her people. We have picked what we believe to be the top ten reasons why the American economy CAN recover, if we, as Americans, will let it. We invite your feedback on this story, and ask specifically for your suggestions of other ways that we, as a people, can find a sure road to recovery.

Nick great read, as you know the party system the republicans have been against goverment control, the democrats have been for more government regulation. Many years ago I read and article that said the third world power would be international corporations. With out government control there is no group that stop such unlimited power, we are left at the mercy of there honesty. I have seen what the last eight years of ruthless abuse they have infilicted upon the world, they have openly stated the world can no longer afford a middle class the carbon footprint is to big. we have seen the biggest drain of wealth from middle class to the wealthy in the history of our country. we seen corporations merge to the point we cannot allow them to fail. Can we recover from this re pression we can and we will because we are america. STAPP
Yes, and as time goes on, the economy is moving further and further in the positive direction. Though the influence of corporations in politics hasn’t been necessarily ALL bad — every group DOES need representation — there has been a loss of balance. Most citizens feel that the government is too big to represent their own interests. This is something that we’re working here at PolitVote to correct.
