A Day to Remember

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

As a person fond of History, I can’t help but contemplate the many historically significant things that happened on this day of October 21. In 1967, protesters of the Vietnam War tried to storm the Pentagon. In 1960, Richard M. Nixon and John F. Kennedy had their fourth and final debate. During World War II, US troops captured Aachen which was the first large German city to fall. In 1940, the RAF dropped the first anti-Nazi pamphlets on the Netherlands. In 1914, American troops saw their first action in World War I. There is another significant event that we should note on this truly historic day. Nick Jessen, our fearless leader, the brains behind politivote experienced something he will not soon forget. He just grew older!

Happy Birthday Nick!!! You made it through another year dude, and everyone at politivote is happy about that. We all wish you another prosperous year at politivote. It’s good to be working with you. I thought we could take this little diversion from the serious political items we usually deal with and celebrate this day with Nick.
